I began teaching World History at the Sikeston Junior High in 2015.
I first began teaching English as a foreign language in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, ROC in 1997. I taught all ages from pre-schoolers to grand-parents from 1997-2003. Some of my duties over the years included: teaching, creating and developing curricula, training teachers, and marketing for schools. Additionally, I was privileged to be the voice for an elementary English text recording.
After Taiwan, for two years, I taught 8th grade American curriculum for Geography/Ancient Civilizations and English in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Other than teaching, I have worked in the financial industry, various forms of retail, and in international trade. Maost recently, I was a program coordinator for a Bootheel non-profit that covered the six bootheel counties.
While living and working overseas, I was blessed to travel and experience different cultures around the world. I came to understand that we are all more alike than we are different and to celebrate diversity!
