Family Information:

I moved to Sikeston when I was in second grade, from my birthplace, Columbia, South Carolina. I graduated from Sikeston, married my high school sweetheart, and began a family. I have three children, Payton, Lauren, and Kinsley. Payton, my son, will be 26 this year. Lauren, my eldest daughter, will be 24, and has blessed me with the cutest little grandson, Aiden. He will be three this year. My youngest daughter, Kinsley, just turned 18. She graduated high school and is off to college. All of them live in Madison, Alabama.

I re-married Danny Ware, an investigator with the New Madrid County Sherriff’s Office. He has two children. Alley, who is 20, graduated in 2014 and moved to Kileen, Texas for work. Peyton, who is 16, is a junior this year.

Danny and I will celebrate (or commiserate, depending on what day you ask us) ten years together this year. :-P

We have one dog, a puggle, named Cosmo. He is spoiled. We also have a cat, Ditto. I’m pretty sure hates us all, but he tolerates me the best.

Personal Information:

I am a completely different creature during summer break! If I am at home, and I try to be there as long as I can, I lounge around in sweats and a t-shirt with no make up. If I HAVE to get out of the house, I put on a little make up (Unless I’m going to Lowes!) shorts, a t-shirt, and flip flops.

For fun, I read. I read a lot! I don’t have much time during the school year to read for fun, so I more than make up for it during the summer. Most days, in the summer, I read 2-3 books a day.

I also spend time in my flower garden. I like beautiful blooming flowers! If you are in my classroom, you will see some of my plants from home.

I spend tons of time on Pintrest. I’m addicted and I am not ashamed to admit it. I find a ton of educational ideas from Pintrest. (Not to mention recipes and memes!)

I love zombies! I love watching The Walking Dead. My favorite zombie movies are Shaun of the Dead and Zombieland. I play zombies on Call of Duty. Most of the time I play online with my husband and my brother. Sometimes my oldest daughter will play with us. Unfortunately, I don’t get to play a lot during the school year.

I love to listen to music. The music I listen to depends on what kind of mood I am in. Mostly I listen to Top 40 radio stuff, but I love my 80’s hair bands!

The single most important thing I’d like for you to know about me is that I love my job. I really do! I love Literature. I love pre-teens and teens. I’m a strict teacher and I expect a lot out of my students. I don’t put up with a lot of foolishness. I want the best for my students and I want to send them to the high school prepared to succeed. Will I push you? Yes. Will I nag you. Yes. Will you hate me at times? Probably. (Especially 4th quarter) That’s ok. When you leave me, I want you to be able to look back and say, “Man, Mrs. Ware was tough, but I learned a lot!”
