This year will be my eighth year teaching Orchestra in Sikeston. I currently teach 7th Grade Violin/Viola, 8th Grade Orchestra, 7th Grade Cello/Bass, Chamber Orchestra, and Philharmonic Orchestra.
Before teaching in Sikeston I taught private violin and viola lessons using mostly the Suzuki method. I lead Suzuki group classes at the Southeast Music Academy along with teaching group classes through schools in the Carbondale area.
I am married to Mr. Heithaus. I have one human child and another on the way. I also have 3 fur babies. I have two cats named Minerva and Ginny, and a dog named Mozart..
When not teaching I enjoy playing my violin and viola. I perform with both the Paducah and SEMO Symphonies. I also love to read, cook, sew, enjoy the outdoors, and hang out with my kid.
