Math Club

Updated 01/09/20

Students who maintain a high grade in their math class during first quarter at Sikeston Junior High will receive a letter of invitation to attend Math Club during Parent-Teacher Conferences in October.  All 7th and 8th grade students are welcome to attend our meetings.  The first meeting will be held after school Thursday, November 7, (revised) in Room 126 until 3:45 p.m.

We usually meet every other week until Christmas break then weekly through the last week in Feburary.  Please see a list of updated meeting dates below.  Students are not required to attend all meetings to participate in Math Club. Students must have a ride arranged to pick them up at 3:45 p.m. to be able to participate.

In mid January, a test will be given to determine which students will represent Sikeston Junior High at the regional Mathcounts Contest.  Students who do well enough at the regional contest may be eligible to go the the Missouri State Mathcounts Contest in March.
