Graduated from Perryville High School in 1991, worked in the community for 4 years before attending Southeast Missouri State University from 1996-1999. Then received a Master’s Degree from William Woods University in 2004.
Bachelor in Elementary Education Grades 1-6, with a Science concentration for grades 5-9.
Master’s Degree for Educational Administration.
I served as a team leader for PBS for 6 years. I have served as a team leader for PLC, since 2013. I have been a sponsor for Science Club each year. I actively participate in Leadership team, PLTW, and Professional development activities and meetings in my school. I am also the head chairperson for the Science department in my building.
I started teaching in the fall of 1999, in Hannibal, Missouri as a 6th grade Science teacher. I came to teach in Sikeston in the fall of 2000, as a 5th grade teacher for 3 years. I have also taught 6th grade Science here in Sikeston for the next 3 years. I have been teaching 7th grade Science since 2006. I began teaching 8th grade Science fall of 2020.
While attending Southeast Missouri State University, I completed the necessary block hours in various schools in the Cape Girardeau area. I taught summer school for Perryville Elementary, and participated in a study abroad in which I was able to witness the workings of schools in Germany, France, Belgium and Netherlands.
